Many of you have started your summer while others are still working…
If your district is like mine you have to create a PD plan. What’s on your list? What will you benefit from most? I want to offer a word of advice…choose wisely.
What do I mean by that? As a suggestion, do not take on any new out-of-the-box sessions. To meet the demands of the deep deep deficits, you are going to need SOUND FUNDAMENTAL INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES.
If you don’t have this you’re going to need a lot of support. Seek out PD that will fill in these gaps. Cute worksheets won’t cut it sorry. You’re going to have to dig in.
Next year is going to be a BEAST. Expectations are going to be at an all-time high. Depending on what campus you’re on support may be limited or non-existent.
Please please please consider this when you are outlining your PD plan. Be mindful of your time off this summer.
Recharge…Reboot…Revive is going to take on a whole new meaning for us all.
